Munich

I took this photo in Marienplatz in the city center of Munich during August 2019. I was there with my brother, my niece, and my nephew. There’s something about being outside of the United States that really brings home just how young the country is. There’s a column located here called the Mariensaule that dates back to 1638 and launched something of a Wikipedia rabbit hole chase for me. The way the photograph turns into something more resembling an illustration (to me) sparks a lot of conversation.
